The Research for Scalable Solutions and SMART-HIPs projects—hosted a four-part webinar series on Advancing Measurement of High Impact Practices (HIPs) in Family Planning. The webinar series aimed to share new insights and tools that can strengthen how HIP implementation is measured in order to support strategic decision-making.

Interventions focused on men and boys can broaden the possibilities for challenging gender norms and masculine ideals that can hinder sexual reproductive health and mobilize advances in gender inequality in humanitarian settings.

At Knowledge SUCCESS, we work closely with family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) projects around the world to support their knowledge management (KM) efforts—that is, to share what works and what doesn’t work in programs, so we can learn from each other, adapt and scale up best practices, and avoid repeating past mistakes. 

The HIPs Partnership in collaboration with the IBP Network recently hosted a three-part webinar series to highlight three recently-published High Impact Practice (HIP) briefs on Social and Behavior Change (SBC) for family planning. The three briefs were launched at the SBCC Summit in December 2022.

Breakthrough ACTION + RESEARCH has launched a new resource collection and accompanying catalog. They showcase more than one hundred social and behavior change (SBC) for family planning (FP) resources for planners, designers, implementers, donors, and other users to inform innovative, evidence-based, and impactful interventions.

The Inside the FP Story podcast explores the fundamentals of designing and implementing family planning programming. Season 3 is brought to you by Knowledge SUCCESS, Breakthrough ACTION, and the USAID Interagency Gender Working Group. It will explore how to approach gender integration in family planning programs—including reproductive empowerment, gender-based violence prevention and response, and male engagement.

Human-Centered Design (HCD) is a relatively new approach towards transforming Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) outcomes for youth and adolescents. But what does "quality" look like when applying Human-Centered Design (HCD) to Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) programming?

Analyzing the impact of gender inequities on contraceptive decision-making experiences through the lens of a power framework can provide critical insights. These can give programs a better understanding of how to address barriers to women and girls’ access to and use of contraception.

Attendees had the opportunity to participate in three discussions that highlighted Breakthrough ACTION’s resources and knowledge on expanding youth access to FP/RH services and information.
