Design KM Strategy

Effective knowledge management (KM) interventions must be supported with a well-designed strategy. The goal of Step 2 in the KM Road Map is to create the strategy for how to improve your health program with knowledge management. This strategy will serve as a roadmap for your KM activities—ensuring that specific gaps in your knowledge needs assessment are addressed, and that milestones, indicators, and activities are tracked. It will also help you stay on track and use your resources effectively. This presentation walks users through the process of designing a KM strategy.

Icebreaker: Imagining the Future

Icebreakers are a common way to kick off training events or meetings, especially when not all participants know each other. They are a fun way for participants to get to know one another and to foster team building. This icebreaker has been adapted from an exercise in Resources to Support Managers Who Lead.

Step 2 Trainer Guide

The Trainer Guide to each training module in the KM Training Package should be the starting point for the Trainer when developing training sessions around each module. The Trainer Guide describes the purpose of the training module, the total estimated time needed to deliver the module, and learning objectives of the module, and it provides a detailed sample agenda outlining how to piece together the different presentations, exercises, and breaks into a coherent session.

One-Day Training Agenda

This is the agenda K4Health would recommend if you have one day available for training. The Word document below lays out the suggested timetable.
