The goal: to uncover and amplify the learnings and impact of five national PHE networks. Learn what network members from Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Uganda, and the Philippines shared during the three-day dialogue.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<h3>The Importance of Networks in PHE Programs<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/knowledgesuccess.org\/2021\/10\/19\/advice-on-creating-a-network-of-phe-partners\/\">Population, Health and Environment (PHE) networks<\/a> consist of organizations and institutions\u2014most often in the conservation and health sectors\u2014who acknowledge the interlinkages between the health of communities and that of the environment. They come together to implement an integrated PHE approach toward sustainably improving the health of communities and conserving the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 20px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n\t<div  class=\"wpb_single_image wpb_content_element vc_align_center wpb_content_element\">\n\t\t\n\t\t<figure class=\"wpb_wrapper vc_figure\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"vc_single_image-wrapper   vc_box_border_grey\"><\/div><figcaption class=\"vc_figure-caption\"><\/figcaption>\n\t\t<\/figure>\n\t<\/div>\n\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Blue Ventures (BV) has been implementing the <a href=\"https:\/\/knowledgesuccess.org\/2020\/11\/18\/20-essential-resources-for-population-health-and-environment-phe\/\">PHE approach<\/a> for more than a decade and a half. The marine conservation organization has witnessed how cross-sectoral collaborations maximize community-level impact. As a member of the PHE Network in Madagascar, BV has been collaborating with health organizations within this network to improve access to health services for coastal communities in Madagascar. PHE networks offer a great platform for various organizations to unite and integrate health-environment activities in an impactful way. It is, therefore, important for them to thrive. This dialogue was focused on bringing together various PHE networks for a knowledge-sharing session that included:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Establishing collaborative and impactful PHE networks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Understanding the various PHE models.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sharing what has worked and what has not worked in various contexts. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 20px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<h3>Learnings Shared During the Dialogue<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">La <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">three-day dialogue<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> provided rich information-sharing across the national PHE networks as well as for those considering the establishment of a new network in their setting.
